A prank at a high school in Texas went bad causing thousands of dollars worth of damage and forcing the school to close for the remainder of the semester. The prank, which was initially approved by the administration, involved a group of students putting post-it notes on the walls as "decoration".

The prank quickly escalated into the students vandalizing many rooms of the school, throwing papers, using fire extinguishers, and flipping tables. The fire alarm was pulled issuing the fire department to arrive at the school. However, the administration said someone was there to supervise before the prank got out of hand.

A video was shared on social media of the students wandering the halls throwing papers, extinguisher smoke slowly filling the rooms.

The school is currently working with the local police to identify those involved in the vandalism, who could potentially face criminal charges.

A senior attending the school said, "It was another level of embarrassment for me because I was expecting just to go to school the next day and sticky notes be everywhere."

The school canceled the last two days of the semester to clean up the vandalism and investigate the damages. Nobody was hurt during the prank.

Sounds like the administration is also at fault for allowing the students to even play this "prank" in the first place. Giving teenagers the freedom to prank the school and then punishing them for it seems a bit unfair.
